Muur

Building a wall is easy. You have a lot of spectators if you try to break it down.

vroeger en nu

When I was young and now. Like a wave that changed everything but the balance between the ying and the yang remained.

Best wishes for 2016

Amost the end of the year. So many things that I wanted to finish before the end of the year but even more things that came up that weren’t planned. Days, weeks and months are to short.

But stay positive ! I’m pleased with the work I’ve done this year and just finished the last designs.

T-shirt designs ordered by the wife are ready. Now I have to find time to make it 🙂

My best wishes for you and your family ! xxx

Beside visiting Canada

I worked on some new projects.

One ordered by the wife : she wants a Original T-shirt with the skyline of Toronto. I still am thinking it over so no photo

A second one about duality in persons. The difference between how a person actually is and how this same person presents her/his self.

who am I

A third project about how everything changes so quickly. Comparison between now and forty / fifty years ago. I haven’t finished the model so … no photo

Now you know what to expect next month if I don’t change my mind 😉

Just back from Canada

A good excuse for putting nothing on wordpress I think 😉 But no, there is no excuse possible.

The visit to the eastern part of Canada gave me new insight on immigration. Most of the Canadians we spoke to surprisingly came from or were related to Dutch, Belgian, German or other Europeans.

A German Canadian told us he was living in, what is now Poland, part of Germany before WW 2. He Fled the region when it became Poland after WW2 and moved to Eastern-Germany, to escape again to Western-Germany. He didn’t feel welcome there so he moved to Canada where he found his peace.

A Canadian waitress told her mother was Dutch and moved to Canada for economical reasons in the early fifties. Another Canadian couple we met in a museum were from Dutch origin and also moved to Canada in the early fifties. etc etc

So what we see today happening with refugees from Africa, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, … is not new but now we are confronted with the problem. The immigrants in Canada integrated completely in Canadian society and I hope our immigrants will do the same.
